About Plantar Fasciitis and Heel Spurs

Straining and Inflammation of the plantar ligament may result from running, high impact aerobics and sports like basketball, especially when inappropriate footwear such as worn-out shoes are worn. Plantar fasciitis causes pain on the plantar surface of the heel and the inner side of the bottom of the foot. The pain is often most severe after sitting and when beginning to walk in the morning. Pain increases with upward movement of the big toe.

If a calcaneal spur (abnormal bony process) protrudes from the heel (see diagram on left), the plantar fasciitis may produce the "heel spur syndrome". Usually a bursa develops at the end of the spur that may also become inflamed and tender.

Beginning with your very first treatment you will feel the relief - the power - of ultrasound therapy. Ultrasound waves travel deep into the sole of your foot, massaging the ligament/tendon directly, increasing bloodflow in the area and quickly reducing inflammation.

After a couple applications you will notice the strained ligament is more flexible and less painful to walk on! Just like that! This works wonders with heel spurs, reducing inflammation and helping increase the healing rate of the inflamed bursa on the heel. These waves also press natural pain relieving ingredients deep into the skin using a process call phonophoresis. These natural pain relieving and anti-inflammatory ingredients are only available in MendMeShop Ultrasound Gel.
